Our story
Nonprofit Plus was founded in 2026 by Michael Buraimoh.
Drawing on over 15 years of experience leading charitable organisations and working closely with peers across the nonprofit sector, Michael observed a consistent challenge. Many organisations are deeply committed to their missions, yet lack the time, internal capacity, or specialist expertise to be intentional about strategic development and organisational quality. Resource constraints, competing priorities, and external pressures often mean that improvement work is approached reactively rather than proactively.
Having led organisations through periods of growth, scrutiny, and change, Michael established Nonprofit Plus to respond to this reality. The organisation was created to provide practical, senior-level support grounded in lived nonprofit leadership experience and delivered with independence and integrity. Our approach is peer-informed but firmly independent, combining empathy for organisational context with clear, proportionate challenge.
Michael holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Development and Consultancy, which underpins Nonprofit Plus’s evidence-informed and practical approach to organisational development and change.
